Emergency GLOF Early Warning System
AI-supported glacial lake monitoring system providing 48-hour advance warnings for outburst floods, using local data collection and volunteer support.
Key Achievements
- 3 successful early warnings issued in 2025
- Reduced casualties in monitored valleys during July floods
- Basic satellite data integration with ground sensors
- Community alert network covering 12 villages
Measurable Impact
Our modest efforts are making a difference in Gilgit-Baltistan communities.
Relief, Rescue, Preparedness & Training
Beyond research, we work directly with communities to build resilience through immediate relief, lifesaving rescue efforts, preparedness systems, and long-term training programs.

Relief Operations: Immediate Support When Every Minute Matters
From food and water to temporary shelter and medicine, our relief teams mobilize within hours to reach the most isolated valleys of GB.

Rescue: Coordinated Evacuations and Rapid Response
Our mixed volunteer–professional teams execute safe evacuations, first response, and communication relays during flash floods and GLOF events.

Preparedness: Systems, Drills, and Local Leadership
Preparedness reduces harm before disasters happen. We run drills, household plans, and early warning tests with local leadership.
Emergency Response 2025
How our systems performed during the July–August 2025 climate disasters
Pre-Disaster Intelligence
Our early warning system detected glacial activity 48 hours before the July 2025 floods in Diamer district, enabling timely alerts to 12 villages.
Real-Time Coordination
During the August 2025 glacier burst in Ghizer district, our team coordinated with local emergency services to evacuate 50+ homes in 3 districts.
Recovery & Resilience
Post-disaster, our team supported recovery in Gupis valley, focusing on resilient rebuilding and sustainable livelihoods with limited funding.
